Generate Capacitor App Icons — Free App Icon Generator

How it works

  1. 1

    Generate native packs

    Enable iOS + Android.

  2. 2

    Copy or run assets CLI

Either drop folders into native projects or use Capacitor Assets.

  3. 3

    Sync

    npx cap sync

@capacitor/assets (concept)

# After generating icon.png (1024) and splash.png:
npx @capacitor/assets generate --iconBackgroundColor '#ffffff' --iconBackgroundColorDark '#111111'
# Or copy ios/AppIcon.appiconset and android/res/mipmap-* from the Launch Kit ZIP.

FAQ

Is @capacitor/assets required?
No. You can paste Xcode and Android resources directly. The CLI is convenient when you already live in the Capacitor workflow.
Splash too?
Yes — use the splash generator page and Capacitor splash configuration alongside icons.
Should iOS icons have rounded corners?
No. Export a full-bleed opaque square. iOS applies the mask. Pre-rounding causes double-rounded artifacts and App Store rejection risk.
What is an Android adaptive icon?
Two layers — foreground and background — that the launcher composites and masks (circle, squircle, etc.). Keep the logo in the central ~66% of the foreground.
Can I export an Xcode asset catalog?
Yes. The iOS pack includes AppIcon-*.png files plus Contents.json for AppIcon.appiconset.
Does this replace Figma for icons?
It ships production sizes and configs from one master. Design exploration still belongs in your design tool; this closes the handoff to Xcode and Gradle.
